Our Programs & Classes
Students and enthusiasts of martial arts have many reasons for their interest in the martial arts. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Karate America offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well. Click here to view our Weekly Class Schedule.
Lil Dragons ( Ages 4- 6 yrs.)
At a young age there is a lack of activities that teach skills that are beneficial to a child's future. This program is designed to help each and every child develop in a positive manner by teaching them the skills that will help them in school, around the house, socially, and of course, in situations where they have to stand up for themselves.
Our program is a theme based curriculum that is designed to hold a child's attention while motivating them to excel and learn new skills. We have incorporated three major life skills: physical fitness, personal protection/bully awareness, and social grace. These are foundational skills helpful in all areas of life.
These skills are tied into a simple rewards system that keeps young children coming back for more, while giving them the desire to work hard and succeed in class.

Juniors (Ages 7- 13 yrs.)
Our Junior Youth program is the next level after our acclaimed Lil' Dragons program. Our Lil' Dragons progress into our Junior Youth program. In this program we continue on our quest for Black Belt Excellence.
At this stage, students are presented with scenarios where they learn to use their minds, and find solutions that might not be immediately apparent. Students are encouraged to use their skills to recognize right from wrong and make wise choices, even in difficult situations. They are also taught speed and agility in both the mental and physical aspects. Students are taught how to be agile and quick on their feet, and equally decisive in their thinking.
Besides traditional training in the martial arts, we work on each student's individual abilities to bring out the very best in them. In conventional sports there are always some children who do very well, and others who don't. We have a slogan..."There are no bench warmers in our school." Every child excels in these programs, developing confidence in the process, so that they will be able to deal with any situation in life.

Juniors Black Belt Club
This is an exciting time where students have set the goal to become a BLACK BELT. In conjunction with their parents, students are individually cultivated to excel in both the martial arts and academics.
Black Belt Club (BBC) Members are trained to become well-round martial artists learning to be proficient in western boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian jujitsu and the Filipino martial arts.
In addition, BBC members work as a team. Learning the values of important life skills such as leadership, self-accountability and supporting their fellow classmates. Their leadership skills are honed by assisting in all academy tests as feeders, helping in after-school programs and all Karate America events. In addition BBC members are trained to be part of our demonstration team.
Karate America's goal is for our students to gain positive life skills through training in the martial arts. Allowing them to become confident, successful young adults and giving them the Competitive Edge in life.

Filipino Martial Arts The highly sophisticated and comprehensive martial art from the Philippines is weapon based, but ultimately an empty hand system. The Filipino martial arts taught at Karate America are drawn from 26 primary sources, the instructors who Magulang Na Guro Dan Inosanto has spent his life training under. With influences such as the late Grandmaster John La Coste, Magulang Na Guro Dan Inosanto has developed a program that introduces students to 12 main areas, including, but not limited to single stick, double stick, stick & dagger, double dagger, panatukan (Filipino boxing), Sikaran (Filipino kicking methods), Kuntao & Silat. Drills and techniques taught in a fluid, non-restrictive manner allow students to enhance their natural attributes and improve their sense of timing, speed, awareness, balance, agility, and confidence.
